Windo Terms of Service
Last Updated: June 12, 2026
Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Windo, a contextual AI workspace ("we", "us", "Windo"). Windo is operated by Imad Eddine Taieb Errahmani, a sole proprietor doing business as Windo. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Windo.
Please read these Terms carefully alongside our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, which explain how we collect information and how cancellations and refunds are handled.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Windo. By using our services, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are using Windo on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Windo is not currently offered to, and may not be purchased or used by, individuals residing in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom. We may expand availability to these territories in the future and will update these Terms when we do.
Your Account
Account Creation
To use Windo, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date. Account authentication is managed by Clerk, our third-party authentication provider.
Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You agree to notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized access caused by your failure to maintain account security.
Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the application or by contacting us.
Use of the Service
Permitted Use
You may use Windo solely for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree to use the service for your own personal or professional productivity and not to misuse or abuse any feature of the platform.
Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Use Windo to collect, store, or process information in violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Upload, capture, or process content that you do not have the legal right to use
- Use Windo to process or store content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringes on third-party rights
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or its infrastructure
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the service
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service
- Use the service to transmit malware, viruses, or other malicious code
- Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialize access to the service without our written consent
Context Capture
Context capture requires your explicit consent. When you first install Windo on macOS, the application requests permission to use the macOS Accessibility API via a standard macOS system prompt. No capture occurs unless you approve this prompt. You can revoke this permission at any time through macOS System Settings under Privacy and Security.
Once enabled, you retain granular control over what Windo can and cannot capture. You can exclude specific apps, websites, entire content categories, or pause capture entirely at any time through Windo's Privacy Controls. Capture is text-only — no screenshots or images are ever taken.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of this feature complies with applicable laws, including any obligations you may have toward others whose information may appear on your screen. You should not enable context capture in environments where doing so would violate confidentiality obligations, employer policies, or the privacy rights of others.
Your Content
Ownership
You retain full ownership of all content you upload to Windo and all context captured through the service. We do not claim any ownership rights over your content.
License to Us
By using Windo, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and retrieve your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. We do not use your content to train AI models.
Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the content you upload or capture. You represent and warrant that:
- You have all necessary rights and permissions to use and process the content
- The content does not violate any applicable law or third-party rights
- You have obtained any required consents from individuals whose personal information may be included in your content
Sensitive Content
You acknowledge that Windo may process sensitive information contained in your content. Please review our Privacy Policy, in particular the section on Personal Identifying Information (PII), to understand how we handle such data.
Subscription and Payment
Plans
Windo offers both free and paid subscription plans. The features available under each plan are described on our website at trywindo.com.
Payment and Merchant of Record
Payments for Windo subscriptions are processed by Paddle (paddle.com), who acts as our Merchant of Record. When you purchase a subscription, you are entering into a transaction with Paddle, not directly with Windo, for payment-processing, billing, invoicing, tax collection, and related payment-compliance purposes. All invoices and payment receipts are issued by Paddle. Windo does not issue direct payment invoices or payment demands to buyers.
Your payment transaction is subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms, Refund Policy, and Privacy Policy.
All purchases are completed through Paddle's checkout. The Paddle checkout is the authoritative record of your transaction and may not be bypassed or altered.
Chargebacks and Disputes
If you have a payment dispute, cancellation question, or refund request, we encourage you to contact Paddle through the billing links in your receipt or buyer portal. If you have a product issue, you may also contact us at [email protected].
Nothing in these Terms limits your lawful right to dispute a charge with your bank, card issuer, or payment provider.
However, if we or Paddle reasonably believe that a chargeback or payment dispute is fraudulent, abusive, or knowingly false, we may suspend or terminate access to the service to the extent permitted by applicable law while the matter is reviewed.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time with effect from the end of the current billing period. Cancellation may be handled through Paddle's buyer portal, the "Manage subscription" link in your transaction confirmation email, or any billing settings we make available. For refunds, please refer to our Refund Policy.
Price Changes
We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. We will provide at least 30 days notice before any price change takes effect for existing subscribers.
Intellectual Property
Our Property
All rights, title, and interest in and to the Windo service, including the software, design, trademarks, and documentation, are owned by Windo. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the limited license to use the service.
Feedback
If you provide us with feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the service, you grant us an unrestricted, perpetual, royalty-free license to use that feedback for any purpose without obligation to you.
Third-Party Services
Windo integrates with third-party services including Paddle (Merchant of Record), OpenAI, Google Gemini, Backblaze B2, Clerk, and others listed in our Privacy Policy. Your use of the service is subject to those third parties' terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.
Disclaimers
Service Provided As-Is
Windo is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
AI Accuracy
Windo uses AI models to extract and retrieve information. AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any information retrieved through the service before relying on it.
No Professional Advice
Nothing in the service constitutes legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Windo and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Windo and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
Termination
By You
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.
By Us
We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.
Effect of Termination
Upon termination, we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Sections 4, 6, 8, 9, and 10 of these Terms survive termination.
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Algeria, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Algeria, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction for matters involving intellectual property or unauthorized access.
If you are a consumer, nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of any mandatory consumer protection rules, or of access to the courts, of the country in which you reside.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice in the service or sending you an email. Your continued use of Windo after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
